You don’t get anywhere overnight

You don’t get anywhere without taking a few steps, and you don’t get anywhere great without making an effort and paying a price.  It’s normal to spend years studying for a career that may last 20,10 or even 5 years.  The Certificate in Christian Ministry is study to equip you for your whole Christian life.  It’s an investment into your future that will last forever! Leadership: The leadership focus will teach you the power of influence, and help you understand how you can harness it.
Youth Ministry: The youth ministry focus will empower you to reach a generation with relevance and power.
Creative Ministries: The creative ministries focus will teach you the true potential of your creative ability that goes beyond your gift and performance.

You will learn:

To lead and inspire individuals and groups; to communicate effectively; to understand foundational Theology; to interpret the Bible accurately and apply its teaching to everyday life; to reach out to others and encourage new Christians; an understanding of the Old and New Testaments; your part in God’s Mission on the earth; keys to effective Prayer and Spiritual Warfare; a passion for your own Spiritual Development. You will become more effective in your leadership and service, and your understanding of effective ministry will grow.

 

 

The decision for me to go to Equippers College was fairly easy because I had always planned to study after finishing my university degree and what better place to study than at my home church!

When people ask me about Equippers College and what it’s like I’m usually a bit stumped. Not because I don’t know what is good about it, but because I don’t know where to start! If you were wondering about the academic side of the course I would tell you that it is perfect for anyone. Whether you have been in church for three months or your whole life you will discover things about the Bible that you never knew. More importantly it will grow your hunger to know more about the God we serve.

While the Certificate in Christian Ministry is more theoretical, there is plenty of opportunity to practise the skills learned. This course is great because it is practical for anyone’s life. You don’t have to be involved in full-time ministry to reap the benefits. I think this is a misconception people can have of Bible College: you would only go if you intended on becoming involved in full-time ministry. For me I considered this to be a gap year before working. Many people would spend it abroad working, however I would challenge anyone who believes in Christ to take a gap year for God and learn more about Him. I promise that you won’t regret it!
